Hefin Robinson, originally from Carmarthen has won the Drama Medal at this year’s National Eisteddfod.

The first winner of the Alun Sbardun Huws Trophy is Llywelyn Elidyr Glyn from Llanllyfni, Caernarfon.
Chroma has won this year’s Battle of the Bands, following a competition held on the Open Air Stage last night, when six artists and groups performed for the prize.
This year’s Welsh Learner of the Year is Hannah Roberts from Brynmawr.

Eurig Salisbury wins the Monmouthshire and District National Eisteddfod Prose Medal in a competition which attracted fourteen competitors.
The Eisteddfod crowd will be able to show their support for the Welsh football team following their success at the recent Euros competition today, as Osian Roberts and Ian Gwyn Hughes are welcomed to the Pavilion stage this afternoon.
The Eisteddfod’s very first rock prom is less concert and more of a gig – a musical homage to the Welsh language Rock Scene featuring its current darlings Yr Ods, Sŵnami and Candelas and will be held in the Pavilion during this year’s festival in Monmouthshire on Thursday evening, 4 August.
Tonight we find out the winner of this year’s Brwydr y Bandiau project band, as the six finalists battle it out on the Open Air Stage on the Eisteddfod Maes.
The shortlist for the Gwobr Albwm Cymraeg y Flwyddyn (Welsh Language Album of the Year) has been published, with the winner of this award set to be announced on Friday.
Gareth Olubunmi Hughes is the winner of this year’s Musicians’ Medal, and he was honoured at a special ceremony on the Pavilion stage this evening.
