Architecture Scholarship special conditions

The scholarship was established to promote architecture and design in Wales. The £1,500 scholarship is awarded to the most promising candidate to enable them to expand their awareness of creative architecture and strive for excellence in the field of design, to promote their career and develop their studies. The winner of the scholarship is expected to submit a visual essay to be displayed at the subsequent Eisteddfod. Applications from the fields of architecture, landscape or urban design are welcome. The word architecture is interpreted in the widest sense.

  1. The scholarship will be open to individuals in education, studying Architecture | Landscape Architecture or Urban Design during and up to one year after completing the MA | degree MSc. The candidates will:
    • were born in Wales, or
    • with one of their parents born in Wales, or
    • speaks the language or writes in Welsh, or
    • lived or worked in Wales for three years before 31 August of the year of the festival.
  2. How to apply: You must submit the following information and pay £10 in order to complete your application through the Eisteddfod's registration system before the closing date
    • A 300 word statement about yourself and how the prize money will be used to support your studies and career ambition
    • A pdf document presenting your work, containing up to 8 pictures together with short explanations of the work.
