How to apply:
Follow the following steps to submit your application to be considered as a guest artist at Y Lle Celf in 2025:
- Firstly, the registration fee must paid in order to submit your application;
- You will then receive an automatic email from the Eisteddfod immediately after completing the order;
- Click on the link which will direct you to your artists portal account and complete the relevant fields.

- Upload your work to the artists portal: The following information must be submitted in order to successfully complete your application through the Eisteddfod's registration system before the closing date to include:
- Image(s) of the work: Applicants are invited to submit up to six JPEG/PNG 300dpi images, or video / performance work. It is important that you present clear images of your work, ensuring that the work is available between 1 April and 16 August 2025. In order to compete, the work must be work completed since 31 August 2023, or a new work specially designed for the Eisteddfod.
- Information about each piece of work submitted: title, medium, size (or length of time), date, and price (if for sale).
- Artist Statement: An artist statement of up to 300 words must be included regarding the work submitted, i.e. not an artist biography but a statement about the work.
- Sales: A commission of 40% (including VAT) is charged on any work sold during the week of the Eisteddfod. Therefore, if a work is priced at £1000 the artist will receive £600 if the work is sold.
- Language Poilcy: Any original words in the artwork (including audio and video) must be in Welsh. But words in other languages can be included if they are part of an object that is depicted or incorporated, or are quotations, as long as they are not a significant part of the collection/artwork.
- Copyright: The copyright of the works will be the property of the applicant but the Eisteddfod will have the right to reproduce any work in print or online in order to publish pictures of the exhibition and for the purpose of publicity for the Eisteddfod.
- Authenticity: The work presented must be the applicant's authentic work, and must not have been exhibited at any previous National Eisteddfod.

The exhibition is open to artists

- who have been born in Wales, or
- who have one of their parents born in Wales, or
- who speaks the language or can write Welsh, or
- who have lived or worked in Wales for three years before 31 August of the year of the Eisteddfod
