Join us for a programme of performances from RCT Music Service’s talented foundation groups!
Young instrumental students from the area perform a collection of Welsh classics as well as classical favourites. Our foundation level ensembles contain students at the beginning of their musical education journeys. Listen to them tackling some challenging arrangements of popular favourites.
Hailing from schools all over the Rhondda Cynon Taf local authority area, they rehearse on a Friday night in Garth Olwg Lifelong Learning Centre and receive lessons through the Music Service on a weekly basis.
This is their first time performing at the National Eisteddfod (and for a few of them, their first performance ever!). You will see the early steps of our musical stars of the future!
An early taste for performance that will develop them into experienced live performers. From Suo Gân to When the Saints for Marching In, there'll be plenty of familiar material to keep you entertained on a sunny early afternoon slot in the Eisteddfod. Come to see the future of RCT’s musical talent!
