Through a mix of traditional and original music Carreg Lafar aim to convey a contemporary approach, whilst staying firmly rooted in the language and tradition of Welsh song and dance music
Their music is arranged for traditional and contemporary instruments including fiddle, flute, pibgorn, bagpipes and guitar, together with dynamic vocals.
Carreg Lafar have been part of the Welsh traditional music scene since 1995 and have toured the UK, Europe and North America, performing at some major venues and festivals including Festival Interceltique de Lorient, Celtic Colours Nova Scotia, Festival Interceltico de Aviles and Piping Live! in Glasgow.
They have released four albums with Sain Records, the most recent, AUR in 2017.
