Come and listen to the powerful sound of a band of young folk musicians who give new life to old Welsh music
The band specialises in reviving music that was hidden in the dusty manuscripts of an old library, transforming them in their own inimitable way into energetic and unique masterpieces.
The group of 12 members includes instruments such as triple harps, bagpipes and four cloggers.
The band began as the Welsh Youth Folk Ensemble. The intention of the project by Trac Cymru was to train young musicians aged 18-25 in musical skills that would encourage them to pursue a career as professional folk musicians, as well as representing Welsh folk music on major stages.
