Adjudicators: Jean Stanley Jones, Aled Phillips & Brian Hughes
Own choice, up to 12 minutes including an unaccompanied piece and a piece by a Welsh composer. The two elements can be combined to include an unaccompanied piece by a Welsh composer. Choirs can also choose to perform an arrangement of a Welsh folk song by a Welsh composer. Choirs will not be permitted to sing the same song in another category during the Eisteddfod.

- Cwpan Sefydliad Gweithwyr Tredegar to be held for a year and Morfydd Vaughan Evans Memorial Medal to be presented to the conductor of the winning choir a £800 (Er cof am fy mam Bertha Jones, Llansilin)

- £400 (Er cof am fy mam, Bertha Jones, Llansilin)
