The focus for pre-school and primary school age activities on the Maes.
The Pentref’s ethos is simple – it’s a place for children to be children and come and have fun.
We want children to put away their phones and video games, and come and play, make new friends and create a community of children on the Eisteddfod Maes.
With a packed programme of fun events, from tug of war to hobby horse racing, and all kinds of silly games, it’s a fun space for children and families on the Maes
The Pentref includes a number of locations, all of which have been designed and created to entertain young children, including a circus skills area, supported by the National Adoption Service.
This year, Ynysangharad Park's permanent playground will be part of the Pentref Plant, with all kinds of safe play equipment available throughout the week.
