The National Eisteddfod continues to maintain a politically neutral stance

However, the organisation recognises and respects the rights of individuals and groups to express moral and political viewpoints during the week on the Maes.

As is customary, the Eisteddfod will not intervene in such expressions unless any action or statement breaches the law or the festival’s rules.

Responsibility for any views expressed lies with the individual or organisation concerned, not with the Eisteddfod itself.

In practice, this may include displays at stalls, banners, clothing, words, graphics, or any other form of public expression.

The Eisteddfod’s respect in the work and activities of the National Eisteddfod policy, along with its Standing Orders, affirms its commitment to being an inclusive festival that respects and celebrates diversity in all its activities and procedures.

It also ensures that no one is discriminated against on the grounds of disability, background, belief, religion, race, age, sex, gender or sexuality.

The Eisteddfod respects freedom of expression and encourages open discussion, provided it takes place in a responsible manner and in accordance with the law.
