Persistent rain did little to dampen the spirits at the National Eisteddfod being staged this week at Pontypridd
Hundreds of people made their way across the river Taf to the Maes to Parc Ynysangharad to compete or just simply to see what the festival has to offer.
During the days the Pavilion and the smaller pavilions like Maes D and Caffi Maes B were popular as Eisteddfodwyr tried to get out of the rain.
Eisteddfod staff and volunteers were quick to act where rain started to collect into puddles.
Eisteddfod chief executive Betsan Moses said the weather forecast for the remaining two days of the festival is good.
