With just over five months to go until the Eisteddfod, 1 March is an important day in the calendar as tradestands, caravan pitches and societies sessions are released for the first time
This year's National Eisteddfod will be held at Parc Ynysangharad in Pontypridd town centre from 3-10 August, and with the festival fast approaching, this is the chance to make sure you're part of the big week.
At 10:00 on Friday morning, our caravan and camping pitches go on sale. The caravan field will be within easy walking distance of the Maes in Pontypridd, with full details available shortly. Visit Maes Carafanau a Gwersylla / Caravan and Camping Site (ticketsolve.com) to book your pitch.
Also at 10:00, Societies sessions will go on sale from the Eisteddfod website, with the link on the front page of the site, www.eisteddfod.wales. Again this year we have two Societies tents, with Societies 1 sessions starting on the hour and Societies 2 starting at half past the hour.
At 14:00, stalls will go on sale, which can be found from Ticketsolve's website again, Stondinau Maes - Tradestands (ticketsolve.com). We've met with over 150 organisations, groups and businesses over the past week in a series of face-to-face and Zoom sessions to discuss the booking process, so that everyone has the necessary information before applying. All information can be downloaded here, 2024 stalls and stands | Eisteddfod.
Next Wednesday, 6 March, we’ll celebrate 150 days to go until the Eisteddfod and as part of this we will be launching our volunteering campaign for the festival. Our volunteering form will appear on the front page of the website. In 2023, over 3,000 volunteering shifts were filled during the week, and organisers hope to replicate this success in Rhondda Cynon Taf this year.
