Eisteddfod signs on the Maes
What's the Eisteddfod catchment area?

The catchment area includes the whole of Pembrokeshire and parts of south Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire. Have a look at the map to see where's included.

How can I join the team?

This is your eisteddfod, and we need your help to create a successful project and festival. Let us know how you'd like to help by completing the form at the bottom of the page.

How is the Executive Committee elected?

Nominations for members of the Executive Committee are open until 19 October. Click on the link at the bottom of the page for more information.

We are looking for:

  • Chair of the Executive Committee;
  • Chair of the Local Fund;
  • Strategic Vice-chair;
  • Cultural vice-chair;
  • Secretary to the Executive Committee.

We're also looking for facilitators for our subject committees to lead on choosing the competitions for 2026. Why not join the team?

Everyone registered on the 2026 database will be eligible to take part in the online vote for the Executive Committee following the closing date. We'll announce the names of the officers at the beginning of November, with meetings starting during November.

When will the competitions programme be available?

The competitions list will be published during the Proclamation Festival in spring 2025. The Executive Committee and the Gorsedd will agree on a date which we'll announce soon. The list will be available to buy online and in shops all over Wales over the summer months, and will be published online in the autumn.

Our competitions portal will be launched in January 2026.

When will the work on the list of competitions take place?

If you're interested in our competitions, then why not join the team working on the list of competitions? The work starts on 16 October, with a face-to-face session on at 18:00 on 22 October in Ysgol Eglwyswrw, and the work will be completed by January.

We're looking for individuals interested in visual arts, music, dance, folk, science and technology, speech, literature, learning Welsh (Maes D) and drama to join the team.

Interested? Fill in the form at the bottom of the page for more information about the sessions on 16 and 22 October.

Can I help with the artistic programme for the week?

Of course! We need a large team of creative people full of ideas to help us create the artistic programme for the Eisteddfod itself.

This work will start around February 2025 and meetings will be held every quarter until the artistic programme is completed in January 2026. Bring your ideas and themes to the meetings!

How can I help with community events and fundraising?

We're looking for people in every village and town across the area to help to organise community events and raise money. The work of the Local Fund starts in November, as the area is divided into wards. Fill in the form at the bottom of the page to be on our database to receive information about the first meeting.

We'll create local teams across the catchment area, and we'll be here to offer help and support throughout the journey, with meetings to share information and advise each other from time to time. You know your community better than anyone, and we need your help to reach everyone.

When will the decorating campaign begin?

We'll be looking for people to lead the decorating campaign during the period running up to the Eisteddfod (from May 2026 onwards) to show the warm welcome for the Eisteddfod in the area. Help us to make sure that the whole of Wales experiences the welcome for the Eisteddfod and our visitors.

We'll also be organising a decorating campaign on a much smaller scale for the Proclamation in the spring.

How can I volunteer?

We're looking for a team of volunteers to work with us throughout the project - from leading the executive committee to hosting and organising local activities. We'll also be recruiting hundreds of volunteers for Eisteddfod week itself to work with us across the Maes. Our volunteering form will be available online from March 2026 onwards.

How can I donate a prize?

Donating an award is an easy way to help us reach the Local Fund target. The list of prizes will be available online from November 2024 onwards. Remember to join our database for the latest news and the exact date when our prizes will be available.

How can I sponsor the Eisteddfod?

There are a large number of sponsorship packages available, with prices running from £3,500 to £60,000. Contact gwyb@eisteddfod.cymru for information. We work closely with each sponsor to develop packages offering the best value for money and visibility for you and your business.

Is there a schedule for the project?

Our schedule will be published online in November 2024 with all the important dates for the next two years.
