Poster for the Wrexham 2025 National Eisteddfod promoting a new show titled "Y Stand".

This is a family that doesn’t belong to each other, all celebrating and having their hearts broken as one, depending on the score on any given day. However at other times, the gap between their different lives feels enormous.

Join us as we follow the stories of the Stand family, inspired by the history of Wrecsam and its spirit.

The Pavilion will be transformed into a football stadium, alive with the sound, colour and the energy of the crowd. The Eisteddfod Choir is the heart of the show, a community standing together, celebrating the best and the worst of what the beautiful game brings through song.

The story is told through the eyes of the choir and our main characters. Clem (Dyfed Thomas) is an actor who is a former Wrecsam player, returning to the stage with his personal history and deep love for the Club, and Grace (Cadi Glwys), a young 14-year-old girl who dreams of playing football.

Join us at the Wrecsam National Eisteddfod Pavilion on Saturday 2 August and Monday 4 August for a heartfelt performance that is sure to appeal to the widest possible audience. Two nights. One stadium. One story from the heart.

Wear red and white. Bring your voice. Bring your heart. Come and experience 'Y Stand'.

Tickets on sale Monday 16 June, www.eisteddfod.cymru.

Saturday night performance tickets go on sale at 12:00 and Monday night tickets go on sale at 16:00.
