resentation of three new songs by Brian Hughes for soprano voice and piano. The three birds are the nightingale, the swallow and the lark, and this performance is a tribute to ID Hooson and Gareth Pritchard Hughes.
Brian Hughes said: "When ID Hooson mentions Bryn-y-brain and the mansion's trees, I know exactly the place he is describing.
"Gareth Pritchard Hughes also knew these places, and had been a neighbour of the poet, and both were members of Capel Mawr, Rhos. Gareth was a writer, a magnificent bass singer, a musician, and a friend to everyone in the Rhos and the Poncie area. He would love to be here today with us listening to the poet's magical words
