Tara Bandito
Llwyfan y Maes

Tara Bandito burst onto the scene in 2022. A wrestler’s daughter with a flair for the dramatic, her debut single, Blerr, released through Côsh Records, quickly established her as a rising force. Highlights since include playing LUCfest, Taiwan & Green Man festival, reaching BBC Introducing Bethan Elfyn's top 5 artists and BBC 6 Music’s Huw Stephens' 'artist of the week’. Bandito also featured on God is in the TV Zine’s top 10 artists. In 2023 she released her debut self-titled album, with lead track 'Croeso i Gymru' picked up by Craig Charles on 6 Music. Recording the album in 2021 brought the end of a 14-year chapter of healing, grief and self-discovery following the death of her father. Before pursuing her career as a solo artist, Tara toured with Charlotte Church’s Late Night Pop Dungeon and trained in India as yoga teacher. These experiences shaped a unique artist who combines the Welsh language, English, and Sanskrit with the sounds of sitar, harp, raw autobiographical lyrics, and thumping beats. Described as "a formidable live artist" by Bethan Elfyn (BBC) and "exuding musical charisma from every pore" by DJ Adam Walton, Bandito prides herself on showering her audience with a SHOW.
