After 10 years as the Llywydd of the Senedd, this will be Elin Jones MS's last summer at the helm after she announced earlier this year that she will not put her name forward to be the Presiding Officer after next year’s May 2026 election.
A Plaid Cymru Member for Ceredigion since the establishment of the Welsh Assembly in 1999, she was elected as Presiding Officer in 2016 and this in-conversation session, led by Nest Jenkins of ITV Cymru, will be an opportunity to look back and reflect one some of the milestones since 1999 and celebrate the impact that the Senedd has had on democracy and life in Wales. They will also look towards the future and consider what lies ahead for the Senedd after the next election
