The Emyr Feddyg Mentoring Scholarship

in memory of Emyr Wyn Jones, fellow of the Eisteddfod

This annual scholarship was established to offer training to a writer or poet who has not already published a volume of work. Competitors are asked to upload work in any form or style – whether poetry or prose (or a combination of poetry and prose) – not exceeding 3,000 words in total. All compositions must be the original work of the author and unpublished.

The winner will be provided an apprenticeship under the tuition of an experienced mentor chosen jointly by the winner and the Eisteddfod. A total of £1,000 is available for the mentoring; in addition to a payment to the mentor, a contribution can be made towards travel costs and any other costs relevant to the training from this amount.
