The CEFR framework has been used for years across Europe, and also in Wales in the Welsh for adult sector. The National Centre for Learning Welsh courses and WJEC 'Using Welsh' qualifications are based on it. The Welsh Government is now preparing to extend the use of the framework to describe the ability of Welsh speakers of all ages, including in the education sector and in workplaces
