Following the sad death of the Senedd’s first Presiding Officer, Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas, earlier this year, this session will be an opportunity to celebrate his life and his contribution to public life in Wales along with members of his family, friends and colleagues.
As a key figure on the journey to devolution, Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas led the brand new Assembly through its first 12 years of existence. It was his firm leadership during this period that put the Assembly on track to become the Senedd it is today.
