Join RCT Music Service’s String Orchestra and Combined Wind & Brass band as they perform a range of music inspired by Wales and beyond!
The String Orchestra combines Rhondda Cynon Taf’s string students into a large group. From beginner players to experienced students, this ensemble will perform pieces by Karl Jenkins and some traditional Welsh material, including a set of reels arranged by Jordan Williams from Vri.
The Combined Wind and Brass ensemble will be performing rousing themes, many of them recognisable to any fan of music.
Rehearsing every Friday during school term time and usually performing in venues all over the local authority, RCT Music Service are pleased to bring their high-quality musicianship to Llwyfan y Maes for the first time! Being led by RCT Music Services’ experienced tutors, the ensemble contains students from the entire geographic area of Rhondda Cynon Taf.
They perform with a maturity beyond their years and we’re confident they will wow you with the quality of their performance! Come and see the stars of tomorrow perform music that is the perfect accompaniment for a sunny afternoon at the Eisteddfod in Pontypridd!
