Lady Llanover (1802 – 1896) an Englishwoman of noble origin to whom we owe a great debt. She dedicated her long life to restoring the Welsh language, Welsh folk customs and traditions in her home and area of Gwent. Harpists, musicians and poets nodded. She restored the harp, folk dancing and singing, the Welsh dress, the Baroque Lwyd y Plygain, and many more
