Welsh women accomplished a noteworthy feat in 1923–24 when they managed to collect 390,296 signatures from across Wales on a Petition of Peace to be sent to American Women calling for their support for a 'war-free world as an eternal heritage'. But how was the task approached and who were these innovative and determined women? Why don't we know more about them?

By now a little more is known about the three who led the Peace delegation – Annie, Mary and Eluned. But what about the many other local organisers? This talk will seek to highlight their backgrounds and networks and discuss three other women who were critically important in this campaign
