Tŷ Gwerin
Aberdare harpist Llewelyn Alaw is the subject of the 'O’r archif' (from the archive) session at Tŷ Gwerin this year by one of our current harpists, Cadi Glwys. She will investigate his collection of manuscripts in the National Library of Wales to learn more about the musician, his music and his links with the Eisteddfod area
One of the manuscripts discussed is a 'Collection of unpublished tunes,' which won Llewelyn Alaw (Thomas David Llewelyn , 1828 - 1879) an award at the Llangollen National Eisteddfod in 1858, and includes some familiar tunes as well as others that have been forgotten. In partnership with the National Library of Wales
