The two boys will wait upon the Presenter of the Horn of Plenty, and boys who are currently in year 5 in schools within the Eisteddfod area are invited to apply for these positions by filling in the application form and attending an audition.
Please note the following responsibilities of applicants and parents / carers:
- Those chosen must live or attend school within the National Eisteddfod 2026 catchment area.
- The two Pageboys will be of similar height, and be able to move in a dignified fashion to the music of the harp.
- The Pageboys’ cloaks, trousers, ties, shirts and stockings will be provided on loan by the Gorsedd, but they will have to provide their own shoes in similar styles, as recommended by the Gorsedd.
- The Pageboys will be expected to attend rehearsals as required, and be present at the Proclamation Ceremony on 17 May 2025, and during Eisteddfod week at the beginning of August 2026.
- Parents / carers will be responsible for transporting the boys to rehearsals and ceremonies. Parents / carers will also be responsible for them on the day of each ceremony.
- The Eisteddfod will provide an entry ticket to the Eisteddfod for each Pageboy for the day of each ceremony, however parents / carers will be required to purchase their own tickets.
The auditions will be held at 17:00-19:00 on Monday 3 February in Crymych Market Hall, with the second round also held in Crymych Market Hall from 17:00-19:00 on Monday 10 February.
