- Where the test piece is written in a strong dialect, some minor changes are allowed to the pronunciation of the words that are natural to the competitor's dialect. The adjustment should, however, be made subtle and necessary. No modifications, to be true to the work of the writer/poet, should affect the rhyme of a poem or alter the meaning of the test piece in any way. Where the piece is in concert, no alterations are allowed.
- Props and simple furniture are allowed. It is the contestants themselves who should set and clear the stage were it not for exceptional cases that would allow the official stage managers to do this.
NB You should ensure that you have read the General Rules and Conditions before competing.
