1. Stage
    1. No one may dance in more than one group in the same competition.
    2. The competitions are open to anyone born in Wales, anyone with one (or both) parent(s) born in Wales, anyone who can speak or write Welsh, or anyone who has lived in Wales for at least a year prior to the festival
    3. Competitors are expected to provide their own accompanist / accompaniment
    4. All groups are required to upload a stage plan with the location and sound requirements of their musicians by 9 June.
  2. Copyright
    It is the responsibility of choirs, parties, groups or individuals to obtain the copyright of any selfselection pieces. This must be stated as you register. Further guidance and instructions can be found in the ‘Competition’ section of the Eisteddfod website. All copies must be uploaded by 9 June.
  3. Music
    Music should include Welsh words or no words at all. Musci recordings should be uploaded in MP3 format by 9 June.
  4. Contemporary / Disco Dance
    1. The performances are judged on their creative nature, composition elements and the dance choreography of those competing.
    2. Competitors are asked to upload a précis of the work, title and composer of the music by 9 June. No special lighting sets or any other production materials can be used for the competitions. Small props, moveable by the individuals, may be used.
    3. Competitors are expected to choose simple costumes which will not affect their movements on the stage. The costumes should cover the torso.
    4. A space is provided for the competitors to prepare, and they are expected to be ready at least half an hour before the competition.
  5. Age
    Please note that the competitor must be within the competition’s age range on 31 August 2023.
  6. Copies
    Please note that it is illegal to make your own additional copies of any music, poetry or any published work.
  7. Semi-final and final tests
    Solo and group competitors will compete in a semi final round with the top three reaching the final
