The National Eisteddfod, one of the world’s greatest cultural festivals, is a charity in need of your help and support. Much loved by generations of Welsh people across the world, we need your help to guarantee the future development and success of our wonderful national festival.
We thank everyone who has had the foresight to help us in their will. This foresight makes a real difference to the work of the Eisteddfod, providing us with a stronger financial footing and allowing us to build and develop this important festival, which has nurtured and cared for Welsh talents for more than a hundred and fifty years.
Once loved ones are cared and catered for, many people bequeath a gift to causes and charities close to their hearts when they die. These valuable gifts, however small or large will make a difference to the National Eisteddfod, and to the thousands of groups and individuals who compete and perform at this great event every year.
Your gift will help us to secure the future of the National Eisteddfod, funding our work across Wales, building a strong legacy for the Welsh language and our culture. Let your legacy be part of our future and the future of Wales.
Writing your will
When writing your will, please seek professional advice by talking to your solicitor. If you already have a will but would now like to include a gift to the Eisteddfod, this can be done with a Codicil, which allows to amend your current will.
You do not have to let us know if you are planning to help the Eisteddfod in your will, but speaking to us will allow us to thank you properly and to plan ahead for the future of the festival, and will give you the peace of mind that the Eisteddfod will benefit from your generosity for years to come.
