The National Eisteddfod of Wales is one of the world’s greatest cultural festivals, and brings together people from all ages and backgrounds to enjoy an eclectic mix of music, literature, dance, theatre, visual arts and much more. Its charitable aim is to promote Welsh language and culture.
Visitor numbers - up to 170,000 over the festival week.
Carparks - Approximately 6,000 cars are parked daily.
Campsite - 1,200 caravans and 200 tents.
MaesB (August 5-8) – 3,500 campers and 5,000 attendees.
The festival is held at a different location every year – generally alternating between north and south Wales. The 2020 Eisteddfod will be hosted by Ceredigion and held in Tregaron.
The main event site covers approx. 35 acres, and comprises the main Eisteddfod structures as well as catering areas, bars, other large exhibitors and some 250 small trade units. The Eisteddfod in its entirety, comprising caravan and camping, MaesB, carparks and main site covers approx. 185 acres.

Part 1 – OPERATIONS DIRECTOR/DIRECTORATE (Individual or company)
Assist the Eisteddfod Management Team pre-festival by consulting on the development, planning, scheduling, licence/H&S, sustainability and site layout. Ensure the safe and smooth delivery of the festival and maintaining the high quality production and audience experience the festival has become known for delivering.
Working with: Eisteddfod Management Team and overseeing and line managing the Site and Operations Manager/Management.
Part 2 – SITE AND PRODUCTION MANAGER/MANAGEMENT (Individual or company)
The successful individual/company will have experience of planning, scheduling and managing event builds on green field sites. They will be skilled at managing a wide variety of contractors, ensuring a high level of work is delivered and maintained. They will manage a variety of contractors/suppliers from set-up to breakdown, overseeing health and safety guidelines are followed.
