Since their college days in the late '70s Tegid (Llion Williams) and Hudson (Rhodri Evan) have spent every National Eisteddfod together (apart from one), and a week in the Eisteddfod is like life: time flies, and in the blink of an eye, seven whole days have gone by.
We meet them in the Eagles pub on the last, wet Saturday afternoon of the Llanrwst Eisteddfod.
Like every other year they’ve spent the week wallowing in nostalgia reminiscing about the ‘legends’ of Eisteddfodau gone by or planning the next big ‘hilarious’ crawl. Tegid tends to look towards the past and the future, without ever embracing the present, and with each eisteddfod becoming one big blur. But can Hudson persuade him to relish the here and now, before it’s too late?
The past and present are close companions, and every Eisteddfod reminds us of the people who have played a part in our shared experience. As long as we have Eisteddfodau, the people who were once with us will remain with us and will still play a part in our story.
“One creates legends at the Eisteddfod, don’t you agree?”
