Bwncath is one of the busiest and most popular bands in Wales. The band formed in 2014 and quickly established themselves as a significant presence on the Welsh music scene with their live performances and distinctive songs. Their music blends soft folk tones with modern pop sensibilities, and they are considered one of the most innovative bands in Wales today. In 2017, Bwncath released their debut album, followed by Bwncath II in 2020. The producer of both albums is also the band's lead guitarist, Robin Llwyd. The second album received critical acclaim, and in 2023, the band performed at the National Eisteddfod, where they broke the record for the largest crowd ever at a Welsh-language music gig. The band’s lead singer and composer, Elidyr Glyn, is a well-known figure in the Welsh music scene. He won the televised competition Cân i Gymru in 2019 with his song "Fel Hyn da ni Fod". Their latest album, 'Bwncath III' adds to their ever-growing repertoire. The band continues to engage their audience through live performances and a blend of traditional and contemporary musical creativity.
