The Presenter of the Horn of Plenty plays a leading part in Gorsedd Cymru ceremonies during Eisteddfod week and the Proclamation ceremony.  The Proclamation Ceremony is held on 17 May 2025, and the Eisteddfod will be held in Llantood in August 2026.

We're looking for an adult who:

  • Lives or is from the catchment area;
  • Is a confident Welsh speaker;
  • Is available throughout Eisteddfod week and on the day of the Proclamation Ceremony;
  • Is eager to support our work of promoting our language and culture, and can show how they do this;
  • Is able to move in a dignified manner to the slow music of the harp, and able to recite from memory the following Welsh words in a clear voice: 

"Hybarch Archdderwydd, yn enw Aelwydydd Sir Benfro,
gofynnwn i ti yfed o win ein croeso i'r Orsedd a'r Eisteddfod."

The costume can be hired from the Gorsedd or provided by the Presenter in consultation with the Gorsedd.

The auditions will be held at 17:00, Monday 3 February in Crymych Market Hall. The second audition will be held in Crymych Market Hall at 17:00 on Monday 10 February.

We are keen to welcome application from disabled applicants and from individuals from all ethnic backgrounds for this role.
