If January feels boring and endless, and you’re fed-up of being stuck in the house for weeks on end, why not join us at 13:30 every Tuesday afternoon for a informal singing session on Zoom?
Join Mari Pritchard from 19 January for Cadw Cwmni (Keeping Company), AmGen’s brand new singing project created to encourage people of all ages to come together to sing – and it’s aimed at everyone! You don't have to be a choir member or an experienced singer, the plan is to have a chat, sing a few songs and have some fun together.
Mari said, “One of the highlights of the Eisteddfod Maes is chatting with old friends. The Eisteddfod is such a social event, and everyone’s keen to stop and chat! There are people you’ll only see on the Maes once a year, and the conversation is always as lively as ever. And let’s be honest, we all love to keep an eye on all the celebrities! And all this to the accompaniment of music across the Maes!
“So, as we're in another lockdown, we’ll be trying to recreate some of these moments while keeping each other company online. We'll have a little chat, share a few stories, sing a few songs, and have plenty of fun together, so I hope to see you there on Tuesday!”
Elen Elis, Eisteddfod's Artistic Director and Organiser, added, "We’re looking forward to welcoming Mari and a few guests every week at our brand new Cadw Cwmni sessions. Singing helps us in so many ways, especially whenwe get together to sing. Although this will be virtual, the impact will be the same, and with Mari in charge, it’ll be great fun!”
