With only four months to go, early bird bargain tickets for the 2016 Monmouthshire and District National Eisteddfod go on sale on Friday 1 April.
Tickets can be bought online, www.eisteddfod.wales, or by ringing the ticketline on 0845 4090 800. Tickets will go on sale at 10.00.
The early bird scheme, which offers savings of 25% on an adult Maes ticket, is available until 30 June. There are substantial savings on all types of Maes tickets, and all the details are available online.
Eisteddfod Chief Executive, Elfed Roberts, said, “We are delighted to announce details of the early bird bargain scheme again this year. The scheme was very successful last year with thousands of tickets sold in advance. It’s the same scheme this year and I hope that even more people will take advantage of the bargains this time.
“This scheme offers a real saving on ticket prices, especially for those considering visiting on a number of days or throughout the week. However, it’s important that you plan ahead and book your tickets before 30 June, as this is the scheme’s closing date. Tickets cost full price from 1 July onwards.”
Details of the evening concerts were announced last week, as well as information on some of the performers and bands on the Open Air Stage during the week. Concert tickets will also go on sale on Friday, and these are available via the website or the ticket line.
Draft daily programmes will be released online during May with the final confirmed programme online by June. The programme will be available to buy from the end of June onwards.
The ticketline is open from 10.00 - 16.00 Monday to Friday.
The Monmouthshire and District National Eisteddfod will be held on Castle Meadows, Abergavenny, from 29 July – 6 August. For more information go online.
