Next Monday (1 April) is the closing date for the Conwy County National Eisteddfod’s composition competitions.
All entries must reach the office by this date. So it’s time to give your valuable manuscript the final once-over and send it to us at the Eisteddfod Office.
Entries must be sent through the post for the composition competitions, and entrants also need to compete using a pseudonym, so that their real identity remains a secret from organisers and adjudicators.
Eisteddfod Organiser and Artistic Director, Elen Elis, said, “Firstly, our thanks to all the volunteers locally and nationally, who worked so hard to put the list of competitions together. There’s plenty of variety, and we hope that the competitions have inspired plenty of writers and poets across the country.
“With the closing date next week, it’s important that all work is posted in good time to reach the office by Monday 1 April at the latest. This is an exciting time of year, as we see the compositions arrive, and with the stage competitions deadline also fast approaching on 1 May.
“The closing date for the Welsh Learner of the Year competition is also this Sunday, 31 March, so if you’re planning to enter or nominate someone for this important competition, get in touch or send us the form today!”
Tickets go on sale on 1 May and over the next few weeks, we’ll be announcing details of the shows and the line-ups for this year’s event.
The Conwy County National Eisteddfod is held from 3-10 August. For more information go online, www.eisteddfod.wales.
