A series of images and literature looking at defining and acceptance within culture
Information and Context: In creating the piece we were aware that we wanted to use our own experiences as the heart of the concept to try to make it an honest and personal piece.
However, we also wanted to investigate individuals and artists who have influenced the history of the LGBT community in Wales.
The three people who most inspired us were Angus McBean, Henry Cyril Paget and Gwen John. McBean and John's art struck us as incredibly strong images and we tried to take the feeling from these images into our pictures. There were a couple of pictures of Paget that really inspired the piece and captured our message perfectly.
