2017 Proclamation

The Eisteddfod Proclamation Ceremony is being held at Holyhead, and this important occasion gives us an opportunity to invite representatives from the Eisteddfod host area to join us in celebrating the coming of the Festival to the area.  During the day, all sorts of activities and performances will be happening around the Town.

We are inviting you to name a person from your organisation to take part in a Civic Procession which precedes the Proclamation Ceremony. Ideally the representative should be from the Eisteddfod area, and in order to avoid any misunderstanding, would you please ensure that he/she has not already been asked to represent another organisation.

For your information, those taking part will be asked to convene by 13.30 at Holyhead Secondary School on Saturday, 25 June 2016. They will then process through the town (around 30 minute walk) back towards to Parc Caergybi where the temporary stones of the Gorsedd Circle will have been located. The Proclamation Ceremony will be held there at 15.00 and will last around an hour.

Please register your representative by Monday, 30 May by completing the form below. Tickets and final instructions will be posted around a fortnight in advance.

We hope that you will be able to join us to celebrate the festival’s visit to Anglesey in 2017.

The above organisation will be represented by the person named below
