Teithio i faes Eisteddfod Rhondda Cynon Taf

We want everyone to have a great time at the Eisteddfod.  Help us help you with final traffic and parking preparations by completing this survey

We've prepared a few tips to help you as you prepare for your visit:

Why not plan your trip now?  There will be some changes to local travel arrangements during the period.  So, if you need to purchase a travel ticket in advance, please do so soon to avoid disappointment.

If you live or stay local, why not cycle, walk or use the local buses? The roads are expected to be busier than normal.

Looking for somewhere to stay locally?  Why not book a site at the caravan and camping site or local accommodation?  Get a place booked as soon as possible.  Local roads and car parks are expected to be busier than normal so public transport will be a great option.

Do you need to bring the car? Use the free park and ride service on the outskirts of town to catch a shuttle bus to the Maes. Only parking for visitors with restricted mobility, is available in the town during the festival.  You can reserve park and ride here.

Why not leave the car behind and get on the train?  The Maes is very easily accessible from the station.  Trains will be busier than normal so please allow extra time for travel. Remember to purchase your ticket in advance too, to avoid queues.

Use the Traveline Cymru website to plan your trip. Look for 'Eisteddfod' for information relevant to you, visit the Council's website for the latest information on travelling locally during the festival.

Enjoy your visit, and remember to return and explore more in Rhondda Cynon Taff in the future.
