Welsh Hearts

5 August 17 - 11:00, Science and Technology

Welsh Hearts is the heart charity for Wales and was established in 2013 to help reduce Sudden Death Syndrome in Wales. With 12 young people dying every week of undiagnosed heart conditions and over 8000 Sudden Cardiac Arrests each year outside of hospitals, the charity places lifesaving Defibrillators in to schools, businesses and communities across the country as well as delivering free CPR training and heart screening sessions. With only a 3% chance of surviving a Cardiac Arrest in Wales, these are vital machines and skills that all Welsh communities should have. Receive training here at the Eisteddfod - the knowledge and actions could save a life.
