145. Recitation Choir with over 16 members

‘Colli Iaith’, Harry Webb, Hoff Gerddi Cymru [Gwasg Gomer] and ‘Etifeddiaeth’, Gerallt Lloyd Owen, Cerddi’r Cywilydd [Gwasg Gwynedd] or Hoff Gerddi Cymru [Gwasg Gomer]

Both poems can be presented separately or by combining or intertwining the two together

149. Storytelling competition

Open competition for individuals of all ages.

Present a story based on a legend or traditional Welsh story (ancient or modern).  The story should appeal to a wide audience, showing the storyteller’s ability to entertain and grasp the audience’s attention.  Costumes and small movable props may be used if required.  No longer than 8 minutes.  The script should not be presented beforehand. 

On the day registration, at least an hour before the competition.  Limited spaces.  The competition will be held in the Tŷ Gwerin (no need to register by 1 May)

Prizes:

 (8). Presentation in words, dance and song: Môr (Sea)

At least three elements from the five noted must be included - traditional folk songs, cerdd dant, dance, drama and recitation - to create an imaginative performance.

The presentation should be no longer than 10 minutes, including setting up and clearing the stage.  Movement, costumes and small scale props can be used.

An outline of the script should be sent by 1 July 2018 and a full copy by the Eisteddfod.
