Today, the Eisteddfod launches its new look Lottery scheme.
With prizes of up to £250 every week, the aim is to increase this to £1,000 the week as more people join the scheme.
Half the money raised goes towards organising events and activities on the Eisteddfod Maes and the rest are shared as prizes every week.
Members of the Eisteddfod Council are promoting the Lottery on the Maes this week, and they have a stand here in Bodedern for the first time.
Gethin Thomas, Deputy Chair of the Eisteddfod Council said, “The Eisteddfod Lottery has existed for years as Hapnod, but we felt it needed to be refreshed and relaunched to encourage more people to join.
“So here we are on the Eisteddfod Council stand and in other places on the Maes attracting new members. It’s a very effective and easy way of supporting the Eisteddfod – and you could also win a prize!
“Why not join the scheme? Details available in stand 508, and who knows, you may win £250 in a week or two!”
