Stands and caravan pitches selling well.
With just over a week gone since Eisteddfod stands and caravan pitches went on sale, organisers say that over 60% of pitches have already been sold. The Eisteddfod comes to Bodedern from 4-12 August, and it appears that many people from all over Wales will also be making the journey over the bridges come the summer.
February is a busy time for those booking a caravan or tent pitch, but it’s even busier for those considering renting a stand on the Eisteddfod Maes. And this year has been busier than ever, with 75% or the stands already allocated. So time is running out for anyone thinking of promoting their business or produce on the Maes this year.
Elfed Roberts, Eisteddfod Chief Executive, said, "We’re used to stands and caravan pitches selling quickly, but the response this year has been amazing! It’s almost impossible to believe that so many spaces have been sold so quickly.
“Three quarters of the stands have been sold in a week, and it’s great to see some new and unfamiliar names on the list, as well as companies and organisation who have supported us for many years. People obviously see the business benefit of coming to the Eisteddfod with a stall, and we very warmly welcome this.
“We have room for 750 caravans this year, and anyone wishing to guarantee a space on the site needs to book very soon. We also have pitches for tents available, and there are plenty of these left – at the moment. But the message is clear – you need to book your pitch as soon as possible.”
If you’re interested in booking a stand on Anglesey, go to www.eisteddfod.wales/2017-tradestands or contact Eira Bowen, email@example.com or ring 0845 4090 300.
Anyone wishing to have a caravan pitch on the official site can order online, www.eisteddfod.wales/caravans or by ringing the office on 0845 4090 400 for a hard copy of the order form.
The Eisteddfod is also appealing to anyone with a ‘tourer’ caravan available to rent during festival week to get in touch. Many people are looking for a caravan to rent, so if yours is likely to be standing vacant on the garden path during the first week of August, get in touch to earn some money by renting it to visitors, eager to join us in Anglesey this summer.
You can either register through the usual accommodation list – www.eisteddfod.wales/accommodation/2017-accommodation-registration or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, and we’ll include your caravan on the accommodation list which is available to download from the website.
The Anglesey National Eisteddfod is held in Bodedern from 4-12 August. Early bird concert and Maes tickets are available from 3 April – 30 June. More information online, www.eisteddfod.wales.
