Artist Carwyn Evans works in mixed media, photography and installation and explores issues related to the sense of place. He exhibits regularly in Wales and beyond. He graduated from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff in 2001 and gained a MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art in 2011. He was awarded the Gold Medal for Fine Art at the National Eisteddfod of Wales held in the Vale of Glamorgan in 2012.
Jessica Hemmings is Professor of Craft at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Previously she was Head of Visual Culture at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. She has also taught at Central Saint Martins, London, Rhode Island School of Design, USA, Winchester School of Art and Edinburgh College of Art. She writes about textiles. Her latest editorial and curatorial project ‘Cultural Threads’ is a book about postcolonial thinking and contemporary textile practice, accompanied by a travelling exhibition ‘Migrations’.
Ceri Jones is an independent curator and writer. Recent projects include The Language of Clay, Captured Moments and Power in the Land. Her experience in multiple creative fields varies from running ceramic workshops in Japan to producing large-scale exhibitions at national galleries in Zimbabwe. She has worked for the Welsh Government’s International Relations, Wales Arts International and the Arts Council of Wales. Prior to this she ran her own ceramic design business, working on commissions and community art projects locally and overseas.
