2017 Competitions for Learners

Information on competitions for Welsh learners.

Closing date for writing competitions - 1 April; closing date for stage competitions - 1 May.

You can enter the stage competitions online by clicking here.  Written entries must be sent through the the post.  Details in the 'Give it a Go' booklet.

All entries must be in Welsh.


Stage Competitions

Competition on the Pavilion stage

119. Learners’ Choir, between 10 and 40 in number, Any song or combination of songs of your choice, in any style, up to 5 minutes. 

A preliminary round will be held in Maes D.

120. Solo Recitation for those aged 16 and over

Competitors are required to organise their own accompanists.  A piano will be available.

121. Singing Group Between 3 and 9 members.  Any song or combination of songs of your choice, in any style, up to 5 minutes.
