There’s only two weeks to go before the closing date for the Cardiff National Eisteddfod stage competitions, and this is the final opportunity to encourage individuals, groups, bands and choirs to take part. The closing date is 1 May.
The online registration system has made it easier than ever to take part in the festival, as everything can be done on the computer without having to worry about the post arriving in time for the closing date.
You can also compete in the traditional way, and entry forms are available in the List of Competitions, online or by ringing the office on 0845 4090 400.
Eisteddfod Organiser, Elen Elis, says, “The response to the composition competitions has been excellent, and we’re keen to get the same support for the stage competitions.
“With only two weeks to go before the closing date this year, do please have a look at the list of competitions and register to take part. We are encouraging people to register using the online system, as it’s much easier for competitors, and for us in the office.
“The online registration system has transformed our work. It’s much easier to register by now, and this has helped competitors and has also made our life easier here in the office.
“Competing at the festival is a fantastic experience, lots of fun and is a chance to receive an adjudication from top judges. And remember, this year’s Pavilion is located in the Donald Gordon Theatre in the Wales Millennium Centre, which is one of the best stages in the world. So, make sure you don’t miss your chance to be part of the week in Cardiff.”
The Cardiff National Eisteddfod is held in Cardiff Bay from 3-11 August. For more information, to register to compete go to www.eisteddfod.wales.
