With less than ten months to go before the Anglesey National Eisteddfod, details of the Eisteddfod Choir have been published, and people can now register to join.
A ‘Come and Sing’ session will be held at Ysgol David Hughes, Menai Bridge, on Wednesday 9 November at 19.00, and this is a chance to find out more about the choir itself, the rehearsal structure and about the work which will be performed by the choir during Eisteddfod week next year.
Eisteddfod Organiser, Elen Elis, says, “We know that lots of people are eager to be part of the Eisteddfod choir in Anglesey, and that many have been asking for details for a while. We hope that lots of local people will register and join us for the ‘Come and Sing’ session. The evening will be a chance for us to get to know each other and have a taste of the work which will be performed at the end of this year’s project.
There is only room for 250 choir members on the Pavilion stage, so we are asking people to register beforehand, as the choir is likely to be very popular. Register online, www.eisteddfod.wales/2017-eisteddfod-choir, or registration forms will be available in local shops, or by ringing the Eisteddfod office on 0845 4090 400. The closing date to register is 3 November.
